Easy Deep Fried Oyster Mushrooms Ingredients 8 oz whole white mushrooms 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs ¾ cup all purpose flour 2 lightly beaten eggs Oil for deep frying Instructions Heat the oil to 375 degrees F in a deep fryer. Wash the mushrooms and remove most of the stems apart from the very top. Pat them dry with paper towels, and then coat them in the flour, shaking off the excess. Dip the floured mushrooms in the beaten eggs, and then coat them with breadcrumbs. Leave them on a rack for a few minutes, to let the batter set a bit. Deep fry them for about 3 minutes, in batches. The deep fried mushrooms are done when they are crispy and golden brown. Deep Fried Oysters Southern Style You will need. 1 Large Bowl that you have added 2 cups of whole milk to and then you want to add 2 large eggs and with a whisk beat the eggs up into the milk very well. You will also need another large bowl that you want to add the below to. 1. 2 Cups of Plain Flour ( Also called All Purpose Flour ) 2. 1 Cup of Self Rising Yellow Cornmeal. 3. 1 Teaspoon Salt 4. 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper 5. 1 Teaspoon Fine Ground Cayenne Pepper Mix all 5 ingredients together well. Now you want to put your oysters a few at a time into the milk and egg mixture. Then put them a few at a time into the bowl of dry ingredients and shake the bowl. Then put them back into the milk and egg mixture and back into the dry mixture. Place your breaded oysters onto a tray or plate and refrigerate them for a mininum of 1 hour. Crispy Oyster mushroom fry approximately 1 lb. ***prepared, fresh OYSTER mushrooms 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cup fresh oregano leaves, chopped fine 3 Tablespoons cornmeal 2 teaspoons sea salt 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon garlic powder dash of cayenne pepper 3 large eggs 5 Tablespoons milk peanut oil for frying (peanut oil won’t smoke when it gets hot) Sriracha hot sauce, fresh oregano sprigs and lemon wedges for garnish *** to prepare Morel mushrooms for eating:  Gently wash off excess dirt and debris from mushrooms. Place mushrooms in a large soup pot or canning pot and immerse them in salt water. Allow them to soak for one hour.
